I think it is called "Going Green" because green symbolizes the environment and if you go green that means you are "going" out of your way to help the environment.
I agree with vicoria because "Going Green" symbolizes that you are making the world greener. Example plants, trees the air and in general the enviroment.
I agree with the first part. Green is the color of the environment, of nature, which is what we are helping However, I think the "going" part is "becoming" greener
victoria's statement is true. green, brown and blue represent the environment because of the natural colors of things around us. from space, the world is only 3 colors. blue represents the ocean, while green is grass and plants and lastly brown is mountains, dirt, and soil.
It is most likely called going green because of the color of vegitation is green! I mean I have herd people call us the green planet along with the blue!
The reason why i think it is called go green is becuase if we really tried to clean up this world and there was no pullution or liter or anything in that catagory this world would be much cleaner place every thing will be more greener.
I think it's called "Going Green" because most of nature is green, and with all the pollution, I guess it turns brown. So basically "going green" to me means to save nature.
I think that there was no real reason for this name. People refer to environmentaly-friendly lightbulbs as "green" lightbulbs.I think that this name just came to be and is sort of stereo typical. However, it is possible that it is from all the green in the environment.
Well the trees, grass, and plants are all green. From the pollution, though, the plants die and turn brown. In my opinion, going green is referred to as go from brown(pollution) to green (natural color). I think the term means to just save plants from dying and turning brown.
Brown is also a natural color, Lenmy. Look outside- the trees are green and BROWN. As is the soil, and bodies of water. It isn't necessarily going from brown to green, but turning yourself into someone who represents the environment positively is turning yourself green.
I know nature is brown, too, but dead flowers and things like that turn from the bright radient color to dark brown. Bodies of water aren't brown, either, unless they turned brown from the POLLUTION of the OIL SPILLS.
Most water is naturally brown, actually. Water gets its color from loose rocks and dirt that changes the clear color of spring water to a grimy brownish color.
Because Grass and trees are grren
